EN001 → the space that you don’t know exists
Photographs taken at home in the years before my daughters birth. A space that, on reflection, was waiting to be filled as much as a space that is now lost.

EN002 → Just Enough to Change The Light
Photographs taken as a sequence on a journey in Latvia, December 2023.
A fleeting glimpse of an unfamiliar landscape seen through the window of a moving car - trees, snow and winter sunlight. Not perhaps the hoped for Christmas snowfall, but just enough to change the light.
Seen as a whole the pictures merge and become one vague terrain, a continuous ‘hurry’ to borrow from the last lines of the poem ‘Postscript’ by Seamus Heaney.
“Useless to think you’ll park and capture it
More thoroughly. You are neither here nor there,
A hurry through which known and strange things pass
As big soft buffetings come at the car sideways
And catch the heart of guard and blow it open.”

EN003 → Low Country
Low Country explores the edges of Brussels in a rough circle as the city gives way to fields and Flanders begins. Taken on multiple walks and using a low grade 35mm camera, the soft black and white images offer a hazy depiction of a landscape which is as much an idea of a place as it is a documentation.
